The aim of this research was to examine the effects of metakaolin (MK) content and low water/ binder (w/b) ratio on the basic performance and durability properties of cement mortar. The effects of various mix proportions on the flowability, consistency, water absorption, and mechanical properties of modified cement mortar were investigated. Also analyzed were the effects of MK content on the impermeability, frost resistance, and sulfate corrosion resistance of modified cement mortar when the w/b ratio was 0.31, according to the basic physical properties that were comprehensively considered.
