Simple Summary Plant extracts are one of the alternatives to antibiotics, and are generally considered to be safe for animals and effective against pathogens. Their antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiviral activities have been well documented. Puerarin, the main component of pueraria extract, is a C-glucoside of isoflavone daidzein.
