当前,大力促进农村居民消费增长、拉动农村消费,是农业大省湖北社会经济发展的重大现实问题。调查、了解湖北农村居民消费增长的现实障碍,提出相应的对策建议,对加快湖北经济持续性和内生性增长,推进湖北社会主义新农村建设,具有一定的理论价值和重大的现实意义。
