小城镇是城乡统筹建设的重要载体,而差异化建设是小城镇发展面临的重要问题.基于小城镇提升改造的视角,以武汉市小城镇建设为例,深入研究武汉市小城镇发展建设短板,依据城镇区位、人口、经济及产业的综合分析,研究在区域整治等方面所承担的作用,提出三种小城镇建设分类,并研究分类小城镇的建设发展.
