As an advanced time-frequency (TF) decomposition (TFD) method, variational nonlinear chirplet mode decomposition (VNCMD) decomposes the original signal into a series of nonlinear chirplet modes (NCMs), such that the inherent characteristic information contained in the signal can be revealed effectively.
