Previous studies have shown that the application of microencapsulation technology in asphalt binder can enhance the healing performance of asphalt binder. In this study, a new method was developed for the preparation of self-healing microcapsules for asphalt binder based on vacuum adsorption. Fly ash floating beads were used as the capsule shell, epoxy soybean oil as the core, and polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution for encapsulation.
