For high-performance microbolometric focal plane array, a pair of mutually restricted microbolometer performance parameters are analyzed and discussed. The main parameters optimization contradiction is between the microbolometric infrared signal to noise ratio and signal bandwidth, and these two performance characteristics parameters are decisive to the target-temperature resolution and imaging speed of the microbolometric focal plane array respectively.
