Several approaches have been developed for a better simulation of disc type permanent magnet axial magnetic field brushless DC motor (AMF BLDCM). Combining transient electromagnetic field equation with varying network electric circuit equation, and taking into account of the effect of 3-D distribution of air gap magnetic field in disc type motor, an accurate mathematical model simulating the dynamic performances of BLDCM system of disc type is developed in this paper. The phase belt moving model dealing with the rotor movement in disc type motor is also built up. Finally, the method is applied...
