During the development of low permeability oil reservoirs, the interactions between fluid flow and rock-mass deformation influences recovery result strongly. In order to evaluate the coupling effects, physical experiments were conducted to study the pressure sensitivity of the low permeability oil reservoir of the Daqing Petroleum Co., China. Numerical solutions were also performed based on fluid mechanics in porous media and theory of elasto-plastic ity.
