Due to the dynamic nature of P2P systems, it is difficult to keep load balance among SuperPeers (SPs) in the hybrid Peer-to-Peer system. An important source of SP's load is to process the peers' joining and departing frequently. In the paper a new strategy is proposed to reduce the impact on the SP's load when new peers join the system. Messages received by SP are classified into maintenance messages, update messages and query messages, of which the first two is produced by peers' churn.
