Coal reservoir in Shanxi is influenced by sedimentary environment, diagenesis and structure. The reservoir is characterized by heterogeneity and nonlinearity distribution. An intelligence evaluation model, based on modified particle swarm optimization (MPSO) algorithm with Elman neural network (ENN), is constructed.
