Objective Exploring an effective method of increasing doramectin productivity of Streptomyces avermitilis with the research of feeding of doramectin precursors. Methods The effects of different precursors on the biosynthesis of doramectin, the optimum concentration and feeding time of the effective precursor were studied. Result Sodium propionate was the optimal precursor for doramectin biosynthesis.
