Taking the Broadband China policy as a quasi-natural experiment, this paper uses a double machine learning based on difference-in-differences approach to investigate the impact of digital infrastructure construction on farmers' income based on the county-level panel data from 2010 to 2022 in China. The results show that digital infrastructure construction can significantly increase farmers' income, and the effect is more pronounced in west regions and the Non-Major Grain Producing Areas.
