Abstract: Biotechnological application of xylanolytic enzymes is normally hindered by their temperature-dependent catalytic property. To satisfy the industrial demands, xylanases that can perform catalysis under cold condition are attracting attention. In this study, the biochemical properties of a predicted xylanase (laXynA) encoded in the genome of marine bacterium Luteimonas abyssi XH031T were characterized.
