Web database of geological information is constructed to manage the geological information efficiently. The infrastructure of the Web database is implemented with B/S model, where the geological information is classified into four types of entities and stored in the database with Microsoft SQL Server 2005.The Web server is implemented with Microsoft IIS and the exchange of the data between the Web server and the database server is implemented by mid-wares which are implemented with COM technology.
