The digital economy is a key driver of greener agriculture and sustainable development. This paper focuses on the impact of the digital economy on green agricultural development and the mediating role of green technology innovation. Using provincial panel data from China from 2011 to 2020, we test hypotheses using fixed effects models. The results indicate that: (a) the digital economy boosts agricultural total factor productivity (AGTFP); (b) green technology innovation positively moderates the relationship between the digital economy and AGTFP; and (c) the positive impact of the digital econ...
