Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to study the relationship between the property of distributivity and Zadeh's operators. Design/methodology/approach - The results are established by studying the relationship between the condition of distributivity and Zadeh's operations. Findings - When the t-conorm T{sup}* and t-norm T are Zadeh's "intersection" and "union" operations, respectively, or when the pseudo-addition {direct +} and pseudo-multiplication {direct ×} are Zadeh's "intersection" and "union" operations, respectively, a series of sufficient and necessary conditions for T{sup}* and T (or {direct +} and {direct ×}) to satisfy a distributivity property are obtained. These results are readily applied to semirings. Originality/value - New theoretical results are discovered and are shown to be useful to the study of triangular operators and applications in intelligent systems.

Based on special additivity of sigma-entropy and proposition of monotone function, we study the structure of a-entropy of fuzzy set. At first, we describe the structure of a-entropy. Then, with this structure in place, we derive primary propositions of sigma-entropy, and a conclusion of the entropy under l(p)-distance, that is, this entropy of fuzzy set has sigma-additivity only if p equals 1.

Outlier detection is a key element for intelligent financial surveillance systems which intend to identify fraud and money laundering by discovering unusual customer behaviour pattern. The detection procedures generally fall into two categories: comparing every transaction against its account history and further more, comparing against a peer group to determine if the behavior is unusual. The later approach shows particular merits in efficiently extracting suspicious transaction and reducing false positive rate. Peer group analysis concept is largely dependent on a cross-datasets outlier detection model. In this paper, we propose a new cross outlier detection model based on distance definition incorporated with the financial transaction data features. An approximation algorithm accompanied with the model is provided to optimize the computation of the deviation from tested data point to the reference dataset. An experiment based on real bank data blended with synthetic outlier cases shows promising results of our model in reducing false positive rate while enhancing the discriminative rate remarkably.

Based on the structure of general pan-multiplication operators and the theory of first order linear partial differential equations, we study the structure of pan-addition operators with pre-determined pan-multiplication operators. At first, we describe the structure of pan-addition operators under the ordinary multiplication. Then, with this structure in place, we derive the general representation for the structure of pan-addition operators.

Similarity measure of fuzzy sets can boils down to distance nearness and "shape" similarity of two fuzzy sets, and distance nearness of two fuzzy sets can be regarded the question of least value of some function with some norm, and similarity measure can be defined the optimum factor of proportionality. Mutual subsethood theorem proposed by Kosko or Wang is the optimum factor of proportionality with l/sup 1/-norm. We construct some new similarity measure by the optimum factor of proportionality with l/sup 2/-norm.

Integrating with ontology and XML Schema, taking advantage of Web Service, this paper develops a service oriented information representation architecture-SOIRA to solve the semantic heterogeneity of distributed and semi-structured information. It introduces a mediated semantic schema. originating from ontology to XML Schema, discusses the multi-matching strategy between the mediated schema and source schemas. The implementation of SOIRA with two kinds of semantic representation services are presented at the end of this paper, which enable interoperability, translation of information, and queries across the representations as well.

摘要:
Association rules mining is an effective method to extract hidden knowledge in databases that is used widely in intrusion detection. But it causes the sharp boundary problem in handling databases with quantitative attributes. To solve the problem, a method is presented that integrates fuzzy sets and genetic algorithm in anomaly detection. Encoding the parameters of membership functions into an individual (chromosome) and embedding the fuzzy association rules mining techniques into the genetic optimization, an optimal parameter-set can be obtained. With the use of the parameter-set in anomaly detection, the normal states of protected system can be differentiated from the anomalous states to the largest extent, and the veracity of anomaly detection is improved significantly.

摘要:
The formula of a similarity measure defined by σ-entropy is simplified depending upon universal calculate formula of σ-entropy, and prove two important propositions by this formula. Our conclusions lay a foundation of answering the problem that not be solved by Liu.
