摘要:
With the advance of globalization, for the sake of international academic communication, a growing number of scholars in China have paid more attention to abstract writing of an sci-tech paper, especially of papers indexed by EI and ISTP; however, the quality of abstract writing is still far from satisfactory. A well-designed informative abstract, deemed as the essence of a full report, covers all the elements like the purpose, methods, scope, results and conclusions of the study. For such an abstract, it's best to meet all the due writing requirements and follow the format so that it is valuable to readers. Aiming at giving new insights into the writing of an informative abstract, this paper focused on its writing format and explored the writing features from the perspective of word and syntax. Drawing on the analysis of some inferior cases, the paper proposes detailed ways to deal with them.

With the popularity of modern education, the future textbook is doomed to be electronic materials.Based on the defini?tion and ENTM in autonomus learning,the author conducts an experiment to testify that it can surely promote learners ’autonomous learning and learning effect.

摘要:
In classroom, students do more listening than reading. Listening competence is “larger” than speaking. The significance of listening in second language acquisition can never be overestimated. Listening comprehension has been a focus for college English learning for years in China. With the information obtained from listening, learners build up their own linguistic system and are ready to retrieve whatever they want when they speak and write. There are many factors that affect listening, among which materials play a key role in facilitating listening comprehension. In order to achieve the final goal of promoting listening competence, teacher must realize that listening materials should be tailored to the needs of individuals. Based on the exploration of the nature of listening comprehension, this paper verifies the elements hindering learners’ listening competence on the basis of the need analysis and Krashen’s input hypothesis. With a questionnaire conducted at Wuhan Polytechnic University ,and the author accordingly concludes that a feasible materials should meet the learners’ requirements so that the enhancement of listening comprehension can be achievd.

摘要:
Cultivating students' intercultural communication competence (ICC) is the focus of college English teaching. As the textbook is seen as the major vehicle to transmit culture, importance has been attached to the presentation of culture in textbooks, which looms large in students' ICC. Based on two surveys, the author finds that positive aspects of foreign culture and native culture are presented in textbooks, however, foreign culture is so much in proportion to native culture that ultimately results in students' failure in ICC. Teachers shoul balance two cultures in teaching, and launch a dialogue between them on the basis of the choice, intergration and balanced utilization of the two cultures. With the two-culture-dialogue, students can promote their ICC effectively.

The 21st century has witnessed the widespread use of computer technology. A lot of universities have incorporate computers into foreign language teaching and learning. Researches have put more emphasis on the study of the feasibility and validity of computer-assisted foreign language learning (CALL). However, few have been involved into its role of teachers, still less the role of translation teachers. This paper focuses on elaborating the changing role of translation teachers in the context of CALL based on a comparative study.

摘要:
The changes in translation teaching is remodeling its teaching mode, and thus a pedagogical revolution is triggered by multimedia-assisted language learning(CALL) from the traditional classroom to the modernized one. Many studies show that CALL has proven to be very useful and effective in language teaching. This paper probles the problems that translation teaching is now faced with and suggests several possible ways of utilizing CALL to solve these problems in translation teaching, for the sake of enhancing teaching effect and promoting the students' translation competence.
摘要:
In the thesis, the author focuses on the empirical study of the reform on the translation teaching with a computer-assisted mode. It mainly shows the great impacts on the learners' learning caused by this total new mode in translation teaching.
