摘要:
AuIr alloy nanoparticles were successfully prepared without using surfactants for the first time despite Au and Ir being immiscible according to phase diagrams. The lattice parameters of the AuIr alloy can be adjusted arbitrarily. The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity of Au5Ir5 alloy is better than that of Au or Ir, and the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity of the Au5Ir5 alloy is as good as that of Ir in alkaline solution.

摘要:
Thermal denaturation is the primary reason for the loss of excellent performance for collagen-based materials. It is particularly urgent to explore an effective structure restoration strategy for thermally denatured collagen. In this study, three different degrees of collagen thermal denaturation models were constructed; the effects of ultrahigh pressure treatments of varying intensities on the structure and properties of partially thermal denatured collagen were investigated. Those results showed that ultrahigh pressure partially restores the triple helix conformation and the α helix of low thermally denatured collagen molecules and moderately restores collagen thermal stability. However, this recovery is not a 'perfect' structural restoration; it cannot effectively restore the fibrotic ability of collagen which leads to a decrease in the fiber diameter of the product and an increase in the storage modulus of the product gel. As the degree of thermal denaturation of collagen increases, the ultrahigh pressure recovery effect is gradually lost. For moderate thermally denatured collagen, ultrahigh pressure treatments only recover a small amount of its triple helical conformation. For high thermally denatured collagen, ultrahigh pressure treatments exacerbate the destruction of the three-dimensional structure of collagen molecules, thereby losing the order of molecular structure and the capability of fibrosis self-assembly. © 2019, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

摘要:
To further improve the charge separation and photocatalytic activities of g-C3N4 and CdMoO4 under visible light irradiation, CdMoO4/g-C3N4 composites were rationally synthesized by a facile precipitation-calcination procedure. The crystal phases, morphologies, chemical compositions, textural structures, and optical properties of the as-prepared composites were characterized by the corresponding analytical techniques. The photocatalytic activities toward degradation of rhodamine B solution were evaluated under visible light irradiation. The results revealed that integrating CdMoO4 with g-C3N4 could remarkably improve the charge separation and photocatalytic activity, compared with those of pristine g-C3N4 and CdMoO4. This would be because the CdMoO4/g-C3N4 composites could facilitate the transfer and separation of the photoexcited electron-hole pairs, which was confirmed by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, transient photocurrent responses, and photoluminescence measurements. Moreover, active species trapping experiments demonstrated that holes (h+) and superoxide radicals (·O2−) were the main active species during the photocatalytic reaction. A possible photocatalytic mechanism was proposed on the basis of the energy band structures determined by Mott-Schottky tests. Two-dimensional (2D) materials have received tremendous attention in photocatalysis owing to their superior physicochemical properties including high specific surface areas, efficient interfacial charge separation and abundant surface active sites. Herein, 2D/2D Ni2P/CdS heterojunctions with Ni2P nanosheets (NSs) loaded on ultrathin CdS NSs were fabricated by combining liquid exfoliation of bulk CdS with a post-annealing procedure. The crystal phases, morphologies, microstructures, optical properties and specific surface areas of the as-prepared photocatalysts were thoroughly investigated by multiple detection techniques. The results of photocatalytic H2 evolution performance under visible light revealed that the optimal 2D/2D Ni2P/CdS heterojunction showed a significantly enhanced photocatalytic H2 evolution rate of 17.95 mmol g-1 h-1 using lactic acid as a sacrificial reagent, which was approximately 6 times higher than that of bare exfoliated CdS NSs, corresponding to the apparent quantum efficiency (AQE) of 4.2% under 420 nm monochromatic light. In addition, based on the analysis of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), photocurrent response, steady photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy and time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) spectroscopy, the enhanced photocatalytic H2 evolution activity was attributed to the effective separation and transfer of photogenerated charge carriers and generation of sufficient active sites. This work provided valid evidence that the use of 2D/2D heterojunction photocatalysts would be a promising technique in water splitting for H2 generation. © 2019 The Royal Society of Chemistry.

摘要:
The antiwear properties of ionic liquids (ILs) as lubricant additives were studied with polyethylene glycol (PEG) used as the lubricant base oil. The quantum parameters of the ILs were calculated using a Hartree–Fock ab initio method. Correlation between the scale of the wear scar diameter and quantum parameters of the ILs was studied by multiple linear regression (MLR) analysis. A quantitative structure tribo-ability relationship (QSTR) model was built with a good fitting effect and predictive ability. The results show that the entropy of the ILs is the main descriptor affecting the antiwear performance of the lubricant system. To improve the antiwear performance of the lubricants, the entropy of the system should be decreased, reducing the system randomness and increasing the system regularity. A major influencing factor on the entropy of a system is the intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds present. Therefore, enhanced antiwear properties of lubricants could be achieved with a three-dimensional netlike structure of lubricant formed by hydrogen bonding.

摘要:
TETA or TETA-AEP mixtures were used as an activator to enhance CO<inf>2</inf> capture in the MDEA solution. The effect of amount and type of activators, and the viscosity of absorbents on CO<inf>2</inf> capture were discussed. The results showed that the positive effect of TETA-AEP mixtures on CO<inf>2</inf> capture in the MDEA solution was greater than that of TETA. The optimal absorbent was No. V, whose CO<inf>2</inf> absorption capacity/desorption efficiency was 3.08 times/1.18 times of No. І. The viscosity had a little influence on CO<inf>2</inf> absorption and an obvious effect on CO<inf>2</inf> desorption.<br/> ©2018, ©2018 Taylor & Francis.

Raffinose family oligosaccharides (RFOs) are α-galactosyl derivatives of sucrose or glucose. They are found in a large variety of seeds from many different families such as beans, vegetables and whole grains. Due to absence of α-galactosidase in the digestive tract of humans and other monogastric animals, RFOs are responsible for intestinal disturbances (flatulence) following the ingestion of legume-derived products. Structural relationships of RFOs and their enzymatic degradation mechanism are described. Concentration and distribution from various seed sources are introduced. The present status on removal of the RFOs (such as soaking, cooking, germination, and addition of α-galactosidase) is summarized. At the meantime, α-galactosidases from botanic and microbial sources and their partial enzymatic properties are also presented in detail. Based on a comparison of various removal treatments, the microbial α-galactosidases are thought as the most optimum candidate for removing RFOs in legumes, and the ideal system for the RFO removal is proposed. © 2019 Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Abstract: Composite bacterial cellulose (BC) membranes containing collagen fibrils or collagen monomers (named BC/Col-fibre or BC/Col, respectively) were fabricated by immersing macroporous BC in a 3.0mg/mL collagen solution for 50h at 4°C with or without collagen fibrillogenesis before lyophilization. The structure of the membranes was characterized by scanning electron microscope, nitrogen adsorption–desorption experiment, and X-ray diffraction. The structure became much more compact upon the introduction of collagen but the crystal structure of BC did not change. The thermal stability and the cytocompatibility of the membranes were evaluated by thermogravimetric analysis and a cell adhesion assay, respectively. The thermal stability of BC was enhanced by collagen incorporation and by fibrillogenesis. The adhesive ability and the proliferation of NIH/3 T3 fibroblast cells in BC/Col-fibre were better than that in BC/Col, which was still superior to that in BC. The catalytic pyrolysis of rice straw for syngas (H2 + CO) production with nickel oxide (NiO)/fly ash catalysts was investigated in a horizontal fixed-bed quartz tube reactor. Besides, X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, field emission scanning electron microscopy, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis were employed to study the physiochemical properties of the catalysts before and after catalytic pyrolysis of biomass. The results illustrated that NiO was uniformly loaded on the surface of fly ash via a filament-like coating. Furthermore, the effects of calcination temperature (400 to 700 °C), reaction temperature (550 to 800 °C), holding time (5 to 35 min), and NiO loading (5 to 30 wt%) on the catalyst performance were investigated. Analysis of the gas composition showed that the NiO/fly ash catalyst had the best ability to increase H2 and CO concentration at a 400 °C calcination temperature, 600 °C reaction temperature, 20 wt% NiO loading, and 20 min holding time. Compared with rice straw pyrolysis alone at these conditions, the concentration of H2 and CO experienced a steep increase from 7 vol% to 41 vol% and 18 vol% to 34 vol%, respectively. The catalyst developed in this research opens a new pathway for the utilization of fly ash in the field of biomass pyrolysis. © 2019 North Carolina State University.

With the rapid development of switchable devices for the K-band (≤40GHz) frequency range, there is a strong demand for liquid crystals (LCs) exhibiting high birefringence, low melting point and low dielectric loss,low viscosity and good miscibility. The novel series of difluorovinyl liquid crystal compounds with δn value around 0.4, relatively low melting point which can be as low as 34.4 °C were designed and synthesized. Comparing the difluorovinyl liquid crystal compound with isothiocyanide-containing liquid crystals, UV absorption test and dielectric loss test analysis at high frequency were performed. Difluorovinyl liquid crystals were prepared into a mixed liquid crystal material for high-frequency dielectric loss test and viscosity performance test analysis at different temperatures to explore its low temperature viscosity dependenceon temperature. The experimental results show that the difluorovinyl liquid crystal compounds not only have higher δn value and lower melting point, but also have lower dielectric loss at high frequency and low temperature viscosity, which can improve the low temperature viscosity performance of liquid crystal materials.<br/> ©2019 SPIE.

摘要:
This study aimed to develop a facile synthesis process of porous starch wall materials from purple sweet potato (PSP) for microencapsulation via enzymatic treatment. The optimum extraction conditions of purple sweet potato starch (PSP-S) were first attained by an orthogonal experiment. Response surface methodology was performed through the enzymatic hydrolysis of PSP-S using an α-amylase and glucoamylase complex to optimize the process parameters for the production of porous starch. Optimal reaction conditions were: the mass ratio (w/w) of glucoamylase to α-amylase of 6.39, amount of substrate of 19.5 g, and amount of enzymes of 0.53%. The surface morphology, microstructure, and thermal stability of the obtained samples were characterized with scanning electron microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared, and thermogravimetric analyses, respectively. The purple sweet potato porous starch (PSP-PS) had a stable oil adsorption capacity, and the molecular structure and thermal stability of porous starch were not substantially different from those of native starch. This study offers a simple yet efficient approach to produce fully biodegradable food-based porous materials for potential applications in oil microencapsulation. © 2019 North Carolina State University.

摘要:
Ni-based catalysts supported on olivine were synthesized for cracking the biomass and producing the syngas. Syngas is used directly as fuel source for the cooling, heating, and power (CCHP) system, which can be produced through biomass pyrolysis process. Integrating combined CCHP systems with biomass pyrolysis results in a sustainable distributed energy system that effectively utilizes biomass resources and improves energy efficiency. To achieve a higher energy efficiency and more cost-effective operation, a simplified cost analysis method based on the Advanced System for Process Engineering (Aspen Plus) was applied to the CCHP system based on biomass pyrolysis. First, syngas was used as a fuel source for the CCHP system, which can be produced through a biomass pyrolysis experiment. In the experiment, the yields of the gas before and after the addition of a catalyst were compared. Second, syngas was passed to the reactor in Aspen Plus, which simulated the calorific values of the syngas produced by biomass pyrolysis under different conditions. Moreover, the simulated syngas heat values were applied to a TFRJ3K straw gas engine. Finally, the cost of the syngas for power generation, cooling, and heating was calculated. The power generation cost was 1.2 RMB/kW, the air conditioning refrigeration cost was 22.752 RMB/d, and the household heating cost was 20 RMB/d. © 2019, North Carolina State University.

摘要:
Nowadays, pesticide residues constitute an increasing public health concern. Cholinesterases, acetylcholinesterase, and butyrylcholinesterase, are reported to be involved in detoxification processes owing to their capability of scavenging organophosphates and carbamates. Thus, these enzymes are targeted for the discovery of sensors aiming at detecting pesticide residues. In recent years, cholinesterase-based biosensors have attracted more and more attention in the detection of pesticides. Herein, this review describes the recent progress on the engineering of cholinesterases and the development of the corresponding sensors that could be used for the detection of organophosphorus pesticide residues.

摘要:
The Z-scheme photocatalysts of WO 3 /g-C 3 N 4 composites with WO 3 nanoplates anchored on the surface of g-C 3 N 4 were synthesized by in-situ acidic precipitation and following calcination procedure. The resultant photocatalysts were characterized by various analytical techniques. This face-to-face intimate contact between g-C 3 N 4 and plate-like WO 3 not only increases the interfacial contact areas, but also facilitates the transfer and separation of photogenerated charge carriers. The photocatalytic activities of degradation Rhodamine (RhB) solution over WO 3 /g-C 3 N 4 composites were evaluated under visible light irradiation. The enhanced photocatalytic activity of WO 3 /g-C 3 N 4 composite could be attributed to the formation of the Z-scheme heterojunction system based on the active species trapping and hydroxyl radicals photoluminescence (PL) detection experiments. Furthermore, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and transient photocurrent measurements confirm the more efficient separation and transfer of photogenerated charge carriers on the WO 3 /g-C 3 N 4 composite than that of pure WO 3 or g-C 3 N 4 . This work would provide new insights into the design and preparation of face-to-face contact heterojunction photocatalysts for organic contaminant removal. © 2018 Elsevier B.V.

This study reports in situ visible light copolymerization of a synthesized dimethacrylamide with the selected (meth)acrylates. The effects of these selected comonomers with different functional groups on the polymerization rate, degree of conversion, gel time and compressive strength were investigated. The results showed that in situ copolymerization of the dimethacrylamide with the comonomers having an electron-withdrawing and/or acrylate group could significantly increase the polymerization rate, degree of conversion and compressive strength. Contrarily, an electron-donating group on either carbon-carbon double bond or ester linkage could slow down the polymerization. In comparison, its methacrylate counterpart, triethylene glycol dimethacrylate-based system did not show a clear pattern. The formed H-bonds between (meth)acrylamide and organic acid groups may be responsible for higher compressive strengths. Within the limitation of this study, it is concluded that in situ polymerization of dimethacrylamide under visible light can be accelerated by copolymerization with monomers having electron-withdrawing and/or acrylate groups and vice versa. © Indian Academy of Sciences.

A dimethacrylamide was synthesized and used to formulate with the selected (meth)acrylates to form the in situ photocureable resins and composites. The effects of the selected comonomers with different functional groups on polymerization rate, degree of conversion, gel time, and compressive strength were investigated. The results show that in situ photopolymerization of the synthesized dimethacrylamide with comonomers having an electron-withdrawing and/or acrylate group dramatically increased the polymerization rate, degree of conversion, and compressive strength. On the other hand, an electron-donating group on either carbon-carbon double bond or ester linkage slowed down the polymerization. In contrast, the triethylene glycol dimethacrylate-based system did not show a clear pattern. The synergistic effect of the strong hydrogen-bonding between dimethacrylamide and organic acid groups may be responsible for higher compressive strengths. The formed composites showed the similar trend in compressive strength to the corresponding resins. Within the limitation of this study, it seems that in situ photopolymerization of dimethacrylamide or diacrylamide can be greatly accelerated by copolymerization with monomers having electron-withdrawing and/or acrylate groups. The monomers with methacrylate group can significantly reduce the polymerization rate and degree of conversion.

摘要:
The structures of flexodomains, which are similar to optical gratings and can be controlled by the amplitude of applied voltage and temperature, were verified through polarizing microscopy and light diffraction techniques. The properties of the optical grating induced by a bent-core nematic liquid crystal in planar cells with varied cell gaps and pretilt angles were studied. The period of optical grating decreases with the increase in the amplitude of the applied voltage and pretilt angle. In addition, the period increases with the increase in cell gap and temperature. The period of optical grating has a linear relationship with temperature. The continuously adjustable period has the potential to become an important and extended application of optical grating.

摘要:
Cyclic carbonates were synthesized via the coupling reaction of CO2 with epoxides at ambient pressure. The reaction of atmospheric pressure CO2 with styrene oxide (SO) was selected as the model reaction. The coupling reaction was investigated by varying a simple catalytic system composed of Lewis acid and quaternary ammonium salt, molar ratio of catalyst to substrate, solvent, and temperature. The yield of styrene carbonate (SC) reached 91.5% in the presence of ZnBr2/Bu4NBr at p(CO2)° = 0.1 MPa and 100°C for 4 h. The coupling reactions between CO2 and a series of substrates including aliphatic and aromatic epoxides were also performed efficiently. 摘要:
CdMoO<inf>4</inf>/CdS@MoS<inf>2</inf>ternary composite with MoS<inf>2</inf>anchoring on the surface of CdMoO<inf>4</inf>/CdS were synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal approach and characterized by the corresponding techniques. The photocatalytic H<inf>2</inf>evolution activities were measured and compared with lactic acid as a sacrificial reagent. The results showed that the CdMoO<inf>4</inf>/CdS@MoS<inf>2</inf>ternary composite exhibited more efficient photocatalytic H<inf>2</inf>evolution activity than those of CdMoO<inf>4</inf>/CdS, MoS<inf>2</inf>/CdMoO<inf>4</inf>, and MoS<inf>2</inf>/CdS binary composites. The significantly improved photocatalytic H<inf>2</inf>evolution activity could be attributed to more effective separation of photogenerated charge carriers over the CdMoO<inf>4</inf>/CdS@MoS<inf>2</inf>ternary composite.<br/> ©2018 Elsevier B.V.

摘要:
Comparative molecular field analysis and comparative molecular similarity indices analysis were employed to analyze the antiwear properties of a series of 57 esters as potential lubricant-based oils. Predictive 3D-quantitative structure tribo-ability relationship models were established using the SYBYL multifit molecular alignment rule with a training set and a test set. The optimum models were all shown to be statistically significant with cross-validated coefficients q2 > 0.5 and conventional coefficients r2 > 0.9, indicating that the models are sufficiently reliable for activity prediction, and may be useful in the design of novel ester-based oils. © 2018, The author(s).
