摘要:
A number of new liquid urethane-based oligomers were synthesized, characterized and used to formulate the dental composites. Compressive strength and viscosity were used as a screen tool to evaluate the formed composites. Commercial available bisphenol A glycidyl methacrylate and urethane dimethacrylate-based systems were used as controls. Degree of conversion, shrinkage, water-sorption, solubility, flexural strength and diametrial tensile strength were evaluated. The results show that using mixed acrylate/methacrylate or methacrylates with different length to derivatize diisocyanates could be a good strategy to synthesize urethane-based oligomers in a liquid state. The developed triethylene glycol dimethacrylate-free urethane-based composites showed significantly reduced water sorption and solubility, decreased shrinkage and enhanced mechanical strength as compared to commercial resin-based ones.

摘要:
To reduce harmful sulfur content in lubricant additives, making use of isosterism has been shown to be an effective strategy. When thiobenzothiazole compounds were used as templates, the exchange of sulfur atoms in the thiazole ring with oxygen atoms and NH groups produced twelve isosteres. Similarly, 2-benzothiazole- S-carboxylic acid esters were used as template molecules to produce six isosteres. About 30% of the isosteres exhibited a satisfactory deviation of ±5% relative to the template, ignoring the specific changes in the base oils, the differences in molecular structure, and the friction or wear properties. The template molecules and isosteres in triisodecyl trimellitate exhibited better tribological properties than in trimethylolpropane trioleate or bis(2- ethylhexyl) adipate. Comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA)- and comparative molecular similarity index analysis (CoMSIA)-quantitative structure tribo-ability relationship (QSTR) models were employed to study the correlation of molecular structures between the base oils and additives. The models indicate that the higher the structural similarities of the base oils and additives are, the more synergetic the molecular force fields of the lubricating system are; the molecular force fields creating synergistic effects will improve tribological performance. © 2018, The author(s).

摘要:
Selenocysteine (Sec) is known as the 21st amino acid that is incorporated into selenoproteins (SePs) and plays vital roles in living systems. Accordingly, development of fluorescent detection method for Sec is of significance. Herein, a readily available fluorescent Sec probe is reported. Although this probe has been reported before for detection of biothiols, the studies in this work show that it can be used for rapid, high selective and sensitive detection of Sec over biothiols and many other analytes with dual colorimetric and fluorescent turn-on signal changes simply by slightly changing the detection conditions. The detection limit of this probe for Sec was found to be about 47 nM with a wide linear range (0–80 μM). In addition, this probe has low cytotoxicity and is able to detect Sec in serum samples and in living cells, indicating it can be used as a potential new molecular tool for Sec detection. © 2017 Elsevier Ltd

摘要:
Catalysts play a key role in the production of cellulose acetate (CA). In this study, CA derived from bamboo cellulose (BC) was synthesized in a solution mixture of acetic acid and acetic anhydride that contains catalysts. The catalytic activities of three catalysts (i.e., sulfuric, methyl benzene sulfonic, and dodecyl benzene sulfonic acids) were investigated in terms of kinetics of acetylation, which was established according to the first-order reaction mechanism. Based on this, cellulose-based nanofibers were further prepared from the acetylated BC solution using an electrospinning technique. Results in this study may be useful for the preparation and application of nanomaterials derived from natural polymeric materials. © 2017, Springer Science+Business Media B.V., part of Springer Nature.

摘要:
Urethane-based polymers are very biocompatible in many biomedical applications. This study reports the synthesis of new low viscosity urethane dimethacrylates and evaluation of the formed composites. New urethane dimethacrylates were synthesized and formulated to form the composites. Compressive strength was used as a primary tool to evaluate the mechanical property. Water sorption, solubility, degree of conversion, flexural strengths and shrinkage were also investigated. It was found that liquid urethane dimethacrylates could be synthesized by derivatizing isocyanates with asymmetrical methacrylates. By eliminating diluent triethylene glycol dimethacrylate, the new urethane dimethacrylate-composed composites showed significantly higher modulus, lower water sorption, lower solubility and lower shrinkage, as compared to commercial BisGMA- and UDMA-based ones.

TiO2-loaded Ti3C2 with small interlayer spacing [TiO2/Ti3C2(SIS)] was successfully synthesized through hydrothermal treatment and subsequent calcination under argon atmosphere. The phase composition, morphology and photophysical properties of Ti3C2, TiO2 and TiO2/Ti3C2(SIS) were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FSEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV–Vis spectrophotometry and fluorescence spectrophotometer, respectively. Furthermore, the photocatalytic activities of Ti3C2, TiO2 and TiO2/Ti3C2(SIS) were measured through monitoring photodegradation of methylene blue (MB) under ultraviolet (UV) light irradiation. The results showed that TiO2/Ti3C2(SIS) had an interfacial heterojunction between TiO2 and Ti3C2 with small interlayer spacing, leading to obviously improved optical absorbability and light quantum efficiency. Furthermore, the results of photocatalytic experiment indicated that TiO2/Ti3C2(SIS) exhibited significantly improved photocataytic activity compared with Ti3C2 and TiO2.

摘要:
通过对废弃粉末活性炭(WPAC)进行热解再生实验,采用热重(TG)、红外分析(FTIR)、表面分析(BET)、 X射线衍射(XRD)表征手段,分析了废弃粉末活性炭热解再生前后的比表面积、孔隙结构及再生过程中有机物分解的初步规律。同时比较了废弃粉末活性炭再生前后对亚甲基蓝(MB)的吸附性能,对WPAC热解再生效果进行了评价。实验得出的最佳热解再生条件是以氮气为载气,热解温度650℃,热解时间2h。在此再生条件下,再生炭(RPAC)的比表面积为1161.4m~2/g,恢复到新鲜活性炭的94.5%;废弃粉末活性炭再生前后对亚甲基蓝的吸附等温线符合Langmuir模型,吸附容量为420.5mg/g,恢复到新鲜炭的89.6%。由此结果表明,WPAC经热解再生后表面化学性质、孔隙结构及吸附性能均得到有效恢复。

Modifications by impregnation and grafting are commonly used for the preparation of amine-functionalized MCM-41. A comprehensive evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods was performed in this work. MCM-41 was synthesized by the hydrothermal method, setting the amine-loading mass fraction at 40, 50, and 60 wt %. Three amine-modified adsorbents were prepared by impregnating polyethylenimine (PEI), and the three other adsorbents were prepared by grafting 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTS) onto MCM-41. The as-prepared adsorbents were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and N2 adsorption-desorption techniques. CO2 adsorption capacities were measured, and the experimental data were fitted with adsorption kinetic models. The cyclic stability of the adsorbents prepared by the two kinds of amine-modified methods was compared using the cyclic adsorption-desorption experiments. The characterization results showed that the target adsorbents were prepared successfully. The thermal stability of the adsorbents modified by grafting was better than the thermal stability of the adsorbents modified by the impregnation. Maximum CO2 adsorption capacities of 3.53 mmol g-1 (50% PEI-MCM-41) and 2.41 mmol g-1 (50% APTS-MCM-41) could be reached at 25 °C and 1 atm, which were 4.7 and 3.2 times greater than that of MCM-41. The Avrami model fitted the experimental data well, indicating a variety of interactions between the adsorbents and CO2. CO2 adsorption capacity after 5 adsorption-desorption cycles decreased by 14.22 and 5.19% for the adsorbents prepared by impregnation and grafting, respectively. It was concluded that MCM-41 modified by impregnation and grafting followed the same kinetic model. The absorbents modified by impregnation showed higher CO2 adsorption capacity and amine-loading efficiency, while those prepared by grafting had better thermal and cyclic stabilities. © 2017 American Chemical Society.

摘要:
Electrospun nanofibrous TiO 2 /g-C 3 N 4 heterojunction photocatalysts with different TiO 2 content have been synthesized via a facile electrospinning and subsequent in situ evaporation and calcination process for the first time, which are examined in terms of morphology, component content, optical properties, PL spectra, photocurrent response, EIS measurement, photocatalytic activity and mechanism. SEM images exhibit TiO 2 /g-C 3 N 4 -4 heterojunction photocatalyst possesses the excellent 1D structure. HRTEM and element mapping images confirm the formation of heterojunction structure. DRS tests identify that TiO 2 /g-C 3 N 4 -4 heterojunction exhibits the intensitive absorption in both UV and visible light region. The photoelectrochemical tests prove that the recombination between electrons and holes are effectively inhibited. Based on TG analysis and photodegradation experiments, TiO 2 /g-C 3 N 4 -4 heterojunction photocatalyst with TiO 2 content of 29.30 wt% possesses the best photocatalytic degradation efficiency for the RhB among the g-C 3 N 4 , TiO 2 and their mixture under simulated sunlight irradiation. Moreover, 1D morphology of TiO 2 /g-C 3 N 4 -4 heterojunction photocatalyst is in favor of separating from solution for reuse and transferring the electrons, and maintains a very high photocatalytic degradation efficiency of 96% even after four recycles experiments, which is beneficial for practical application. © 2017 Elsevier B.V.

摘要:
In this study, the effects of collagen self-assembly, drying methods, and reswelling on collagen gel structure and biological properties were determined. The results showed that the self-assembly of collagen improved the regularity and pore size of the collagen gel and promoted collagen gel thermostability and cell proliferation. After drying and reswelling, the main structure of the self-assembly gel was composed of lamellar gel walls, but the gel structure shrank to some extent and pore size was reduced. The structure of the self-assembled gel after drying and reswelling was closely related to that of the drying method. © 2017 Taylor & Francis.

摘要:
The MoS 2 /CdS composites with layered MoS 2 loaded on uniform CdS nanospheres were synthesized by a two-step process combination hydrothermal and solvothermal treatments, and then applied in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution under visible light irradiation. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Raman spectra, UV–vis diffuse reflectance absorption spectra (UV-DRS), nitrogen adsorption-desorption measurement, photoluminescence spectra (PL) and photoelectrochemical tests. The effects of loading contents of MoS 2 in the composites on the photocatalytic H 2 evolution activity were comparatively investigated with 0.45 mol L −1 Na 2 S and 0.55 mol L −1 Na 2 SO 3 as sacrificial agents. The results showed that the 5 wt% MoS 2 /CdS composite could achieve the highest photocatalytic H 2 evolution rate of 372 μmol h −1 and apparent quantum efficiency (AQE) about 7.31% under 420 nm monochromatic light irradiation. The remarkably enhanced photocatalytic activity of MoS 2 /CdS composite could be attributed to the effective transfer and separation of photogenerated charge carriers, and MoS 2 being as a cocatalyst to facilitating photocatalytic H 2 evolution reaction. A tentative mechanism of MoS 2 /CdS composites as photocatalysts for H 2 evolution was proposed. © 2017

The synthesis of 5-hydroxymethyl furfural (HMF) from cellulose via a two-step process was investigated. To optimize reaction conditions, the separate conversion of cellulose and glucose was first performed in tetrahydrofuran (THF) and N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) via a one-step process using hosphotungstic acid (PHA) as catalyst. The direct conversion of cellulose to HMF was then performed via the two-step process. The first step and the second step were carried out in THF and the mixture solvent composed of THF/DMF, respectively. Cellulose was converted to HMF and glucose in the first step in THF. Both of cellulose and the as-formed glucose were then converted to HMF in the second step. The conversion of cellulose to HMF and glucose were significantly improved by the two-step process, and the total yield of HMF and glucose was elevated from 52.1 to 97.0%. 摘要:
Several new urethane-based dimethacrylates were synthesized, characterized and used to formulate the resin composites. Compressive strength (CS) was used as a screen tool to evaluate the mechanical property of the formed composites. Flexural strength, diametral tensile strength, water sorption, degree of conversion and shrinkage of the composites were also evaluated. The results show that most of the synthesized urethane-based dimethacrylates were solid, which are not suitable to dental filling restorations. However, it was found that liquid urethane-based dimethacrylates could be derivatized using asymmetrical methacrylate synthesis. Not only the newly synthesized urethane-based dimethacrylates showed lower viscosity values but also their constructed composites exhibited higher mechanical strengths. Without triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA) addition, the new urethane-constructed composites showed significantly lower water sorption and shrinkage.

Batch experiments were carried out to investigate the performance of Oscillatoria tenuis to remove nitrogen, phosphorus and chemical oxygen demand (COD) from secondary effluents of municipal domestic wastewater. Meanwhile the potential of biogas production by collected O. tenuis co-digested with pig manure was also investigated. O. tenuis had a biomass productivity of 150 mg L−1 d−1, a removal rate of NH+4(96.1%), total phosphorus (82.9%) and COD (92.6%) within 7 d at an aeration rate of 1.0 L/min. The biochemical methane potential (BMP) test for O. tenuis fermented with pig manure was evaluated at three different ratios. The cumulative methane yield was 183 mL CH4/gVSadd at a mixing ratio (MR) of 3.0, 191 mL CH4/gVSadd at a MR of 2.0 and 84 mL CH4/gVSadd at a MR of 1.0. The maximum methane yield appeared at the ratio of 2.0. Meanwhile, acid-, alkali- and thermal-pretreatments were applied to raw microalgae biomass to promote biogas production. The highest methane productivity (256 mL CH4/gVSadd) was achieved by the thermal-pretreatment at 120°C, which was about 1.5 times higher than the non-pretreatment group (191 mL CH4/g VSadd). © 2017, © 2017 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

摘要:
Magnetic ZnFe<inf>2</inf>O<inf>4</inf>/ZnO (ZFO/ZnO) multi-porous nanotubes have been first fabricated via a facile electrospinning and subsequent calcination process. A series of ZFO/ZnO photocatalysts with different ZFO molar content and morphologies are also obtained by varying the molar ratio of Zn/Fe metal salt and its dosage. The morphology, composition, crystal structure and specific surface area of achieved photocatalysts are systematically examined. TEM images demonstrate ZFO/ZnO-3 multi-porous nanotubes possess perfect 1D nanotube profile with hierarchical pores. HRTEM images confirm the formation of ZFO/ZnO heterojunctions. DRS spectra show that ZFO/ZnO-3 multi-porous nanotubes exhibit an enhanced absorption both in UV and visible-light region. PL spectra and photocurrent responses of ZFO/ZnO-3 multi-porous nanotube demonstrated that the photogenerated electrons and holes are effectively separated. Above all, ZFO/ZnO-3 multi-porous nanotubes photocatalysts with a larger specific surface area of 57.79 m<sup>2</sup> g<sup>−1</sup>exhibit the best photocatalytic efficiency of 99% after 150 min under the solar irradiation for the decolorization of RhB. Moreover, ZFO/ZnO photocatalysts not only possess magnetic separation property, but also keep a relatively high photocatalytic efficiency even after four cycles, which is beneficial for practical application. In addition, both the formation and potential photocatalytic mechanisms of ZFO/ZnO-3 multi-porous nanotubes are proposed in detail. ©2016 Elsevier B.V.

Through general property tests, rheological measurements, SEM observations and weight changes after immersion, electrochemical methods and water vapor transmission tests, a waterborne zinc-rich coating from sodium silicate solution catalyzed by ammonium acetate was characterized. Results showed that the formula catalyzed by ammonium acetate overcame the poor water resistance of other non-catalyzed coatings, while binding the zinc powder in the film. The zinc-rich film had the basic features required for a zinc-rich primer to be useful and was electrochemically cathodically protective during tests. The acetate anion from ammonium acetate resulted not only in little early corrosion while catalyzing the formation of zinc silicate before cure but also stronger corrosion protection during the immersion test on the cured film. The velocity of water vapor transmission and the amount of acetate anions present decreased with time until a stable value was achieved after approximately 6 days.

Gel matrices of mammalian collagen are routinely used as bioengineering materials and food thickening agents, for which the modulation of their mechanical properties is a key issue. However, little information is available regarding gel matrices based on fish-sourced collagen, which offer unique advantages for some applications. Here, a rheology assay, which is the most commonly used method for monitoring developing gels, was used to systematically reveal the influence of environmental parameters on the gelation dynamics and rheological properties of pepsin-soluble collagen (PSC) extracted from snakehead (Channa argus) skins. The gelation dynamics and equilibrium elastic moduli of PSC were affected by concentration, temperature, pH, buffer, and ion strength and type. SEM and TEM images of gels at different concentrations and incubation temperatures confirmed that the mechanical properties of PSC gels are directly related to the density, rather than size, of fibrils. Additionally, the relationship between the biological and mechanical properties of these collagen gels was also evaluated. The present study would facilitate a better understanding of the gelation of fish-sourced collagen and enable more precise control of the mechanical properties of these gel matrices.

摘要:
A new simple and readily available fluorescent probe for cysteine (Cys) was reported. This probe is based on an excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) dye and uses two acrylate moieties as the Cys reaction sites to promote signal changes. Importantly, this probe shows rapid fluorescent turn-on signal changes for Cys with high selectivity and sensitivity over various analytes including the similar structured homocysteine (Hcy) and glutathione (GSH) in aqueous solution under mild conditions. The detection limit of this probe for Cys was found to be as low as 0.80μM, which is far below the normal content of Cys (30–200μM) in cells. This probe was also successfully applied for bioimaging of intracellular Cys in living cells with low cytotoxicity. Besides, a paper test strip system was developed with this probe for a convenient detection of Cys. © 2016 Elsevier Ltd

Glucose nonenzymatic detection is of significance in the fields of biological, environmental, food monitoring, and clinical analysis. By employing mesoporous NiCo2O4 nanowires as electrochemical sensor, highly sensitive nonenzymatic detection of glucose has been realized. The NiCo2O4 nanowires were synthesized via a facile hydrothermal method and subsequent thermal treatment. Their crystalline structures were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, and morphologies were characterized using scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The porous characteristics and real surface areas of the synthesized NiCo2O4 were studied by Brunauer–Emmett–Teller method. Electro-catalytic oxidation of glucose on the NiCo2O4 electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry, and amperometry. The nonenzymatic sensor based on NiCo2O4 exhibited superior performance for glucose detection, with a low detection limit and excellent sensitivity. © 2017, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany.

A novel aza-coumarin-hemicyanine conjugated hybrid was prepared, which was found to be a promising colorimetric and ratiometric near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent probe for detection of bisulfite/sulfite in aqueous solution. This probe shows a rapid response (within 30 s) and high selectivity and sensitivity for bisulfite/sulfite, giving distinct colorimetric and ratiometric fluorescence changes at 717 and 560 nm. The detection limit for bisulfite was estimated to be 87 nM. In addition, detection of bisulfite in food samples and bioimaging of both exogenous and endogenous bisulfite in living cells with this probe were successfully applied, which indicates that this probe holds great potential for bisulfite detection both in real samples and in living cells.
